A city full of character and of characters, New York provides a cornucopia of creative opportunity for the street photographer. On recent visits there, Mascot’s own keen lensman veered off the tourist track to capture some of that distinctive New York personality. The result is an extensive collection of portraits that range from the seemingly everyday to the borderline bizarre.
The small selection we show here includes candid images shot from the hip and more composed portraits that hint at a rapport between the photographer and the subject.
At the very least they paint an intriguing picture of a very colourful town...
